Going on a protocol of hCG without first working on improving the state of your intestinal tract is a mistake. Remember, hCG is not a quick fix. It is very quick fat loss, but not a quick fix. To do it right, you need to devote time to changing your dietary habits before and after you do a cycle of hCG.
Nutrients pass through the intestinal walls to feed the cells. You need to make sure that proper flora exists in the intestines. Take a multi-strand probiotic daily to help to create a healthy balance. I also recommend eating/drinking things that are full of probiotics (Synergy's Koombuchia is my favorite). You should also take digestive enzymes just before or with each meal. The digestive enzymes will help break the food down before it reaches the small intestines and make it more available to pass nutrients to cells. All of these supplements are included in our complete 12 week program, but are available separately too.
The highly processed, and antibiotic laden foods we eat everyday destroy the flora in the intestines. They contain chemicals and additives that are designed to make food less susceptible to bacteria. Well, its bacteria (good bacteria) that breaks down the food we eat. If we eat things that kill bacteria we lessen the amount of nutrients delivered to the cells. Most meats contain antibiotics that kill bacteria. Just eat organic as much as possible and you'll be fine.
What our program teaches everybody is to eat 6 vegetables and 3 fruits per day. This is hard to do without making smoothies and juices. However, if you can do this while taking the two supplements mentioned above you will go a long way toward creating and maintaining a healthy gut (intestinal tract). Our cookbook, which is part of the complete hCG 12 week program has over 170 recipes your whole family will love that incorporate fresh fruits and vegetables. Our smoothie section is awesome!
Why is it so important to eat whole? Because if your body isn't passing the nutrients to the cells that they need to thrive your cells will scream to give them more and you will feel hungry and eat again. This is a major reason people begin over eating in the first place. During the hCG protocol you will be living on approximately 500 calories a day plus the energy liberated by the hormone. If those 500 calories are not well-absorbed through the intestines to the cells you will feel very hungry. And, even if you have the will power to make yourself stay on track through the hCG protocol you will gain "bounce back pounds" once you start eating normally again.
Its best to take 5 weeks before the hCG cycle and really focus on eating whole and organic. Your personal transformation mentor, PTM, will help you with this. Make sure your organs are eliminating toxins well too because you will be detoxifying quite a bit while on the hCG. After the hCG cycle, you must return to healthy whole foods eating and always maintain the probiotic and digestive enzyme supplementation.
Here are a couple of yummy recipes you can use when on the 500 calorie cycle. Our cookbook that is included in our complete program has over 30 different recipes just for the hCG portion of the program. Each recipe was specifically created to be both tasty and very low calorie. It is very important to feel satisfied when only eating 500 calories so you need good recipes. Countless people have tried to do the hCG Diet by simply following the meals laid out in the Dr. Simeons protocol and became very frustrated with eating such boring food. As soon as they get off the hCG they go back to eating food they enjoy and the pounds come right back.
The key hCG weight loss being permanent is to make good, healthy, low calorie meals so you feel good about what you are doing and then when you are finished with the hCG slowly go back to eating a diet of 90% wholefoods and organic ingredients. Our program makes this a reality. The 12 weeks we spend together create permanent change Our 180 Wholefoods recipes in our cookbook are key to making it happen for you.
Here are two recipes for your 500 calorie days Eat two meals, lunch and dinner, daily. For breakfast, drink only teas. Have Mt. Capra Mineral Whey every morning and at least once in the afternoon. Bon Appetit!
